Love with Food– International Delights Theme

January’s Love with Food is themed as International Delights. This might be my last box for a while, regrettably. I am going to slowly savor and cherish this. If you would like to join Love with Food they are $10 and for every box you get they donate a meal to a hungry child.

This months box:

food jan

1) Turbana’s Natural Plantain Chips- I’ve never actually had any type of plantain chips, so i’m curious about these.

2) Newtree’s Organic Chocolate in Milk Chocolate with Cinnamon & Dark Chocolate with Belgian Biscuits. These are very itty bitty but look interesting.

3) GoGo Squeez – Apple on the go in AppleStrawberry. I’ve been wanting to try one of these suckers!

4) Firecracker ChocoPod– with sultry sea salt, smokey chipotle and dark chocolate. Best part? Its only 50 calories. It looks very tempting.

5) David Rio’s Tiger Spice Chai- this will have to get in line I have tons of other samples I have yet to try.

6) Kyotofu’s Modern Japanase Dessert (3 flower shaped Shortbread Tea Cookies)– this is a gluten free treat. Kyotofu’s has actually received New York’s Best Cupcake Award from New York Magazine.

7) Lastly, Biscotti’s di Suzy’s Almond Anise Biscotti

That’s it folks!

Cravebox Resoultions — Ring it in the Healthy Way

It has finally arrived! The Resolutions box was priced at $15, my most expensive so far and boy was it worth it. I earlier blogged about being healthy this new year as one of resolutions and it seems like cravebox read my mind. You know me so well.

Inside the box:

resolutions

1) Mary Kay’s TimeWise Repiar Volu-Firm Eyecream- This is a full sized product valued at $40! I will start trying this tonight and have a review up after 1-2 weeks of use. This is for deep lines, wrinkes, sagging lids, under eye darkness, puffiness and so much. I am super excited to try this!

2) 2 cans of the new 10 calorie drinks-  7 up & A&W Root Beer — this honestly seemed a little weird having in the box. They probably could have saved cost in etting a coupon instead of shipping them. None the less I will end up using these or someone in my household will.

3) Cocoa Via – Daily supplement variety sample pack to health support healthy circulation. These seem intersting I’ve never tried or heard of them. There are 4 packets all in different favorings.

4) Zone Perfect’s Perfectly Simple Peanut Crunch Nutrition Bar

5) SunRype’s Fruit Source- 3 bars of all natural 100% fruit and veggie bar. Hmm Interesting.. I’m interested and scared to try them at the same time. I like that these are 2.5 serving of fruit per bar! I got 2 in mango strawberry & 1 in Strawberry.

6) SunRypes Just Fruits & Grains Strawberry Mango. This is 2 serving of fruit and no added sugars.

7) 1 sample of Celestial Seasonings Metabo Balance Wellness Tea– a Green Tea Supplement. I love this brand for my teas so this will be put to good use.

8)Pantene Silky Moisturize Whip in a sample size. I already got one of these in the teen box so not as excited.

9) Lastly, a Wholly Guacamole Chip Clip with a bunch of coupons. 1 free product of any Wholly Guacamole product, yes!  .75 off a box of Celestial Tea, $1.00 off a box of Perfectly Simple, 1 free Smart Ones Product (up to 4.00).

What do you guys think of the box? I was expecting a box of multi vitamins and nutrition bars. I like their idea of a full sized eye cream better! Check out Cravebox and their upcoming boxes. This month Love with Food also donated 2 meals for every box to NY & NJ Food Banks for Hurricane Sandy Relief.

Moms: I have two Ecomom credits available from Love with Food that I have no need for. The first two people to reply (subscribed users) can have them!

What do you think of this box? Have any subscription boxes that you love?

My First Naturebox – Chow Down Time

Image

Yes, I know another subscription box service. BUT my justification (because I always have one) is that its HEALTHY snacks. This is something I would buy anyway when I go shopping so this saves me the ordeal of finding them and buying them. Because let me be honest when I don’t have the healthy snacks available and I’m out or hunggray I will hit that vending machine or scour my house for food/snacks.

This subscription box cost me approx $11 for my first month with the code NAPA40, which offers you 40% off the purchase. The regular retail price for this box is 19.95 a month including shipping. The box I have pictured is the November or December box which I received this morning.

Naturebox:

Each month, your box will include 15 to 20 servings across 4 to 6 different NatureBox snacks. We take pride in picking the healthiest and most delicious snacks for you to enjoy. You can trust that our products will be made from the most wholesome ingredients and will be minimally processed, if at all. Everything you eat from us will abide by our strict quality standards.

These snacks have no high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, trans fat, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavor or colors.

The December box contained:

1) Carrot chips        2) Garlic Roasted Pumpkin Seeds     3) Cinnamon Spiced Granola

4) Chipotle Maple Almonds        5) Country Ranch Chickpeas

I have already opened up my ranch chickpeas which I was really surprised that I like since I’m not a fan of ranch.  The almonds I’m half way through the bag which I had to steal away from my mother because she got her hands on them.

**This box was bought with my own money & I was not reimbursed for my post**

My First Cravebox- Cooking Light

Look what arrived in the mail today! My very first Cravebox. This is my first subscription box and I felt like a kid on christmas when this arrived.

Everybody and their momma has a subscription box service right now. Its just the thing. After watching countless videos and reading many blogs on all the boxes out there, there were only a few which I thought were worth the money. The Cravebox is hands down one of them, with full sized products, free shipping, and fun limited-edition theme boxes. Each box ranges from $10-14, the Cooking Light Cravebox was $13. Also, you have a chance to win more for readers!

Here is what I received:

1) Tulley’s French Roast Coffee – a powerful and rich taste with a bittersweet end. This 12 oz. bag alone retails for 9.49.

2) Torani Sugar-free Caramel Syrup- This sweet syrup is brewed into coffees in most cafes and can be used for baked treats. The box contained a full size 750 mL bottle that values at $6.99. I think this is the one item that I am most excited about for a few reasons. Firstly, its sugar free so I can use this without worrying about my sugar levels rocketing up, my diabetic mother can treat herself, and lastly because the holidays are coming up and the possibilities with this bottle are endless.

3) Dole’s Fruit Crisp Cups- The cups contain all-natural fruit and crunchy oat and brown sugar topping. I received 3 boxes with two cups of each. A pack of apple-cinnamon, apple-pear & peach. These fruit cups can be warmed up or eaten just as, so great little snacks for on the go or at work. Each pack usually retails at $1.69. The thing I like best about these cups are that the first ingredient listed (so the most abundant ingredient) is the fruit. I was pleasantly surprised, because most cups have sugar as the first ingredient. I actually tore into one right after taking the picture and found these to be really tasty. For a moment I was transported to middle cafeteria lunches where I would be eating my favorite Dole’s fruit cups.

4) McCormick Perfect Pinch Salt Free, Garlic & Herb Seasonings- Yes, I said seasonings. 2 full sized seasonings were included. This is my favorite brand for seasonings, I think I have 6-8 of these in my spice drawer at this point. These are just perfect for all the veggies, fish, and chicken that is going to be cooked up to the holidays and even after. These retail from $2-3.50

5) Nectresse Sugar Free Sweetener- This sweetener is extracted from monk fruit, 100% Natural with nothing artificial. My mother (the diabetic) & I am very excited to give this a try with our daily cups of tea. I’ve been using truvia up until now and just at the end of the box right now. This Nectresse box retails for $3.49.

6) Lastly I received a few coupons and adorable measuring equivalent conversions magnet in the shape of a measuring cup.

I love the box I received! It kinda feels like I came out of the grocery store using some coupon suzy skills. I received $29.04 worth of products for $13, not including the coupon values. What subscription boxes do you have, if any?
